Who can apply for the residence for job search?
The applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Obtained a higher education degree equivalent to a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate in Spain.
- Has sufficient economic resources to support themselves during the validity of this authorization.
- Has medical insurance.
- The applicant must submit this application 60 days before or 90 days after the expiration date of the study stay.
How to apply for the residence for job search?
It must be requested by the student electronically at the government delegation or sub-delegation of the province where they plan to reside.
Is there a resolution deadline?
The deadline to resolve this authorization is 20 days. This means that if 20 days pass and you have not yet received a response, your application is considered granted by administrative silence. If this residence is approved, its validity is for one year.
What should I remember?
- There is no possibility of extension.
- The applicant must have completed their studies in Spain.
- The job that the applicant finds must be related to their studies.
- The authorization must be requested 60 days before or within 90 days after its expiration.
- If you do not receive a response in 20 days, it is understood as granted.

The student may be accompanied by their family members if they had accompanied them during their study stay.
